The Adventures of Goldilocks in the Bear's House
Once upon a time, deep inside a green and quiet forest, there lived a happy family of three bears. There was Papa Bear, who was big and strong. There was Mama Bear, who was kind and gentle. And there was Baby Bear, who was small, cute, and very playful. They all lived together in a beautiful yellow house with a bright red roof. Birds sang around their home, and tall trees kept them cool and safe.
One sunny morning, Mama Bear woke up early. She wanted to make a tasty breakfast for her family. She took a big pot, added water, vegetables, and special spices, and cooked a warm bowl of soup. Soon, the sweet smell of soup filled the whole house.
Papa Bear came into the kitchen and said, “Mmm, Mama Bear, your soup smells very good.”
Baby Bear clapped his paws and said, “I am very hungry. Can we eat now?”
Mama Bear tasted the soup and said, “Oh dear! The soup is too hot. We cannot eat it yet. Let us go for a walk while it cools down.”
So the three bears put the soup on the table. Each bear had their own bowl. Papa Bear had a big bowl. Mama Bear had a medium bowl. Baby Bear had a small bowl. Then they locked the door and went for a walk in the forest.
Not far from the forest lived a little girl named Goldilocks. She had long golden hair and was very curious. Sometimes, she did not listen to rules and liked to do naughty things. That same morning, Goldilocks was playing near the forest. She was bored and walking around, looking for something fun to do.
Suddenly, she smelled something very yummy in the air.
“Hmm,” said Goldilocks, “that smells like delicious soup. I am so hungry. I wonder where it is coming from.”
She followed the smell and soon saw a yellow house with a red roof.
“What a lovely house,” she said. “Maybe someone inside will share their food with me.”
She walked to the door and knocked gently. Knock, knock, knock. But no one answered.
She looked through the window and saw three bowls of soup on the table.
“No one is home,” she said quietly. “I will just take a tiny taste.”
Goldilocks opened the door and walked inside the house. She went straight to the table.
First, she tasted the soup in Papa Bear’s big bowl.
“Ouch!” she cried. “This soup is too hot!”
Next, she tasted the soup in Mama Bear’s bowl.
“Yuck,” she said. “This soup is too cold!”
Then she tasted the soup in Baby Bear’s small bowl.
“Mmm,” smiled Goldilocks. “This soup is just right!”
She was very hungry, so she ate all of Baby Bear’s soup until the bowl was empty.
After eating, Goldilocks felt tired. She looked around the room and saw three chairs near the fireplace.
“I need to sit down,” she said.
She sat on Papa Bear’s big chair.
“Oh no,” she said. “This chair is too hard!”
Then she sat on Mama Bear’s chair.
“This chair is too soft,” she said.
Finally, she sat on Baby Bear’s small chair.
“Ah,” she smiled. “This chair is just right!”
But suddenly, CRASH! The chair broke into pieces.
“Oh dear,” said Goldilocks. “I think I ate too much soup.”
Now Goldilocks felt even more sleepy. She walked upstairs and found a bedroom with three beds.
She climbed onto Papa Bear’s bed.
“This bed is too hard,” she said.
Then she tried Mama Bear’s bed.
“This bed is too soft,” she said.
Finally, she climbed into Baby Bear’s bed.
“This bed is just right,” she whispered.
Goldilocks closed her eyes and soon fell into a deep sleep. She dreamed about cookies, kittens, and sweet honey.
While Goldilocks was sleeping, the three bears came back from their walk.
Papa Bear looked at his bowl and said, “Someone has been eating my soup!”
Mama Bear looked at her bowl and said, “Someone has been eating my soup too!”
Baby Bear looked at his bowl and cried, “Someone has been eating my soup, and my bowl is empty!”
Then they saw the chairs.
Papa Bear said, “Someone has been sitting in my chair!”
Mama Bear said, “Someone has been sitting in my chair too!”
Baby Bear cried loudly, “Someone has been sitting on my chair, and it is broken!”
The bears walked upstairs to check their beds.
Papa Bear growled, “Someone has been sleeping in my bed!”
Mama Bear said, “Someone has been sleeping in my bed too!”
Baby Bear shouted, “Someone has been sleeping in my bed, and she is still there!”
Goldilocks woke up and saw three bears looking at her. She was very scared.
“Oh no!” she screamed.
She jumped out of the bed, ran down the stairs, and rushed out of the house as fast as she could. She did not stop running until she reached her own home.
That night, Goldilocks sat quietly and thought about what she had done.
“I should not go into other people’s houses,” she said. “I should always ask and be kind.”
From that day on, Goldilocks promised to behave better and never take things without asking.
And the three bears lived happily ever after in their yellow house with the red roof, enjoying Mama Bear’s warm soup together.
