The Adventures of Goldilocks in the Bear's House

The Adventures of Goldilocks in the Bear's House

Once upon a time, a family of three bears - Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear - lived together in a yellow house with a red roof deep in the forest. One morning, Mama Bear made a pot of hot soup for breakfast. However, as it was too hot to eat, the bears decided to take a walk while the soup cooled.

A young girl named Goldilocks lived near the forest. Known for her mischievous nature, she was playing in the woods and throwing rocks at the squirrels one morning when she caught a whiff of the delicious soup Mama Bear had made. "I'm so hungry," she thought to herself, "I wonder if they'll share their soup with me?"

She approached the yellow house with a red roof and knocked on the door, peering in through the window. She saw three bowls of soup on the kitchen table, but no one was around. Without hesitation, Goldilocks, being a mischievous little girl, walked inside. She first tasted the soup in Papa Bear's bowl, "Ouch! This soup is too hot!" she exclaimed. She then tried the soup in Mama Bear's bowl, "Yuk! This soup is too cold," she said.

Finally, she tasted the soup in Baby Bear's bowl and declared, "Mmm, this soup is just right!" and proceeded to eat the entire bowl. With her stomach now full and satisfied, Goldilocks searched for a place to sit. She saw three chairs by the fireplace and decided to test them out. She sat in Papa Bear's chair and said, "This chair is too hard!" She then tried Mama Bear's chair and said, "This chair is too soft!"

Finally, she sat in Baby Bear's chair and declared, "Ah, this chair is perfect!" but it broke under her. "I must have eaten too much soup," she thought to herself. She was still tired, so she went upstairs to the bedroom where there were three beds. First, she tried Papa Bear's bed, but didn't like it, "This bed is too hard!" she said.

Then she tried Mama Bear's bed, but didn't like it either, "This bed is too soft!" she said. Finally, she tried Baby Bear's bed and exclaimed "This bed is just right!" and fell into a deep sleep filled with dreams of cookies and kittens. Soon, the bears returned from their walk, ready to eat their breakfast, only to find that the spoons were already placed in their bowls of soup. "Someone's been eating my soup!" exclaimed Papa Bear.

"Someone's been eating my soup too!" exclaimed Mama Bear. "Someone has been eating my soup... and my bowl is empty!" sobbed Baby Bear, who loved the soup. Then the three bears noticed that their chairs had been used. "Who's been sitting in my chair?" asked Papa Bear. "Who's been sitting in my chair?" asked Mama Bear. "Who's been sitting on my chair...and broke it?" asked Baby Bear, and he began to cry.

The three bears quickly went upstairs to check their bedroom. "Someone has been sleeping in my bed!" growled Papa Bear. "And someone has been sleeping in my bed!" growled Mama Bear. "Someone has been sleeping in my bed...and it's still warm!" yelled Baby Bear so loudly that Goldilocks woke up.

When Goldilocks saw the three angry bears, she became terrified. She leapt out of bed, bolted down the stairs, and ran out the door, not stopping until she reached her own home. She sat down in her own bowl and chair. That night, just before she went to sleep in her own bed, she made a promise to herself, "I will never eat soup again."
