The Honest Woodcutter and the Fairy Once upon a time, there was a small village near a deep green forest. In that village lived a poor but very honest woodcutter. He did not own much land or money, but he had a kind heart and always spoke the truth. The villagers respected him because he never cheated anyone. Every morning, the woodcutter woke up early, took his old iron axe, and walked into the forest. He cut trees, collected wood, and sold it in the market to earn money for his family.
